Phonics for the whole class
Play Phonico together on the board, follow a ready-made weekly plan, print cards and sheets, and take part in friendly class and school challenges.
How it works
- Set up your class here (about one minute).
- Open the whiteboard mode. Each question shows whose turn it is: Pupil 1 🦊, Pupil 2 🦉 and so on.
- Follow the weekly plan: one level a day, a bonus game on Fridays, two weeks per island.
- Print sound cards, tricky-word cards, word lists and alien-word sheets for the same sounds.
- Join the challenges (optional): classes compete in your school, and schools compete with schools, on stars earned each week.
The class's progress is saved on the board's computer, separately from any child's own game.

The game opens full screen with a turn badge for each question. The class's stars are kept on this computer and count towards your weekly challenge.

Give each child a number. The badge on screen tells the class whose turn it is.
Cards and sheets
Everything matches the sounds and tricky words in the game. Choose an island, then print.
Class and school leagues
Each week, classes in the same school race for stars, and schools race other schools. A school's score is the average stars per class, so small and big schools are equal.
Challenges are not switched on yet
The league board needs Phonico's class server. Your class can still play and collect stars, and they will count from the week challenges open.
